29th April, 2009: Extensive visit and
inspection programme has been launched
by ERRA management with Deputy
Chairman ERRA, Lt. General Sajjad
Akram himself in the lead. He was on a
tour of two districts namely Rawalakot
and Bagh in AJ&K on Tuesday and today
he visited Balakot and Mansehra in the
province of NWFP.
Deputy Chairman ERRA, Lt. General
Sajjad Akram inspected development
projects in district Mansehra and met
the elected representatives of
earthquake affected areas of NWFP. DG
PERRA, DDG Housing ERRA and other
officials were also present on the
occasion.
Deputy Chairman ERRA said that
reconstruction of houses and water
supply & sanitation projects shall be
completed till the end of June, 2009.
He said that ERRA disbursed Rs. 68
Billion among the beneficiaries in
Rural Housing. Deputy Chairman
inaugurated Government Girls Primary
School Chatta Batta in district
Mansehra. He addressed students and
teachers to make use of the modern
facilities for the improvement of
education standard.
Deputy Chairman attended a meeting
with the elected representatives of
Mansehra and Balakot. On this occasion
they shared some problems of their
areas and suggested solutions for it.
Deputy Chairman directed for the
speedy completion of reconstruction
projects.
In another meeting, Sajjad Akram
insisted upon contractors to speed up
the reconstruction work in the coming
months to facilitate the affectees.
Before this, Deputy Chairman said
prayers for the 63 martyred children
of Government High School Battagram
and announced to build a memorial on
this place. He also visited Balakot
and selected place for the Monument
and Park. |
