In
accordance with its strategy to
develop necessary infrastructure
regarding Urban Development Projects,
ERRA with the cooperation of Gaddafi
International Charity and Development
Foundation is set to launch projects
worth US$ 25 Million in New Balakot
City. In this regard a Contract
Signing Ceremony for construction of
Markazi Mosque in New Balakot City was
held in Marriot Hotel Islamabad today.

Foundation Mr Usman, Representative

and other high ranked ERRA officials
were also present on the occasion.
Construction of Markazi Mosque is one
of the six projects identified by ERRA
to be completed in New Balakot city.
The cost of the construction is PKR
400 Million and it will be completed
within 16 months. The state-of-the-art
facility will be built according to
Libyan Architect and will house more
than 10,000 people. Construction of
Mosque will be followed by completion
of projects including Degree Colleges
for Boys and Girls, 6 Primary Schools,
Development of Core Commercial Area
and Tehsil Headquarters Hospital.

telling the details of the projects
said that they will keep on supporting
ERRA to achieve the noble cause of
rehabilitating the lives if millions
affected by 2005 Earthquake.

Libya said that its incessant help is
reflective of the confidence of the
international community in ERRA’s
rebuilding phase. He reiterated ERRA’s
resolve to complete Urban Development
Projects in AJ&K and NWFP within
stipulated timeframe and convert the
Earthquake affected areas into better
planned cities fulfilling the needs of
modern lifestyle.
ERRA’s Urban Development Projects to
develop new Muzaffarabad, Balakot,
Bagh and Rawalakot Cities will be
hazards free and packed with all the
necessity infrastructure and modern
day facilities. The completion of
these projects will open a new chapter
of progress and prosperity in
Earthquake affected region of AJ&K and
NWFP.
