 Islamabad,
11 May 2009: Realizing the national responsibility
towards the displaced persons from Swat and
Malakand divisions of NWFP and exhibiting a quick
response to call of the hour, the management of
ERRA has promptly dispatched five trucks carrying
relief goods to the relief camps established in
Mardan District, NWFP.
The relief consignment which was first of its kind
contained non food and food items including 200
tents, 1500 blankets, 300 camp cots, 2100 utensils,
3 tons of rice, 3 tons of flour, oil, sugar and
other things for the internally displaced people of
Swat and Malakand.
Chairman ERRA, Altaf Muhammad Saleem was himself
present at the ERRA Headquarters and briefed the
staff accompanying the relief consignment and
directed them to physically examine and ascertain
the specific requirements of people living in the
camps and arrange their prompt dispatch on priority
basis.
Lt. Gen Sajjad Akram, Deputy Chairman ERRA was also
present at the occasion. |
