2 days training of Rainwater Harvesting system Installation and School debate competition were conducted in Union Council Pachiot on Rain Water Harvesting Project on 29th to 30th April

A two days training for system Installation of rainwater harvesting along with a school debate competition to promote the use of rainwater were conducted by Women Welfare Organization Poonch (WWOP), the Service Provider of ERRA –WatSan Project for Promotion of Rain Water Harvesting.

On 30th April, 2011, the Demo training for RWH System Installation was completed and appreciated by Mr. Muhammad Javed (Project Coordinator). Later on the School debate competition was conducted by the WWOP in Tameer-a-Insaniyat Public Academy at Panilola Pachiot in which 8 different schools participated.

The program of the debate competition started with the recitation of Holy Quran. Community of Union Council Pachiot, teachers, Local Government AJK Staff, PIU and PCU-ERRA participated. Student of Schools were well prepared to discuss Rain Water Harvesting. Eight students were selected for debate three students took the prize as first position Tayyaba Imtiaz, 2nd Irsa Shahzad and 3rd Huda Azad.

Mr. Muhammad Javed Project Coordinator PRWH-Project ERRA, Kh. M. Asif LG& RDD, Syed Fahad Qasim Communication Officer PRWH-Project and Mr. Irshad Qadri (State Coordinator ERRA) also spoke on the objectives and benefits of storing and wide spread use of rain water at house hold level and appreciated the students and schools taking part in promoting this activity to provide safe water to maximum population in EQAA.

In the end Chief Guest Mr. Muhammad Javed distributed the certificates and tool kits among the masons receiving the training and thanked the Audience, WWOP and Students who participated in the debate competition. He announced that on behalf of ERRA, all top position holder students will be invited to ERRA Head Quarter for appreciation in a National Debate Competition on RWH.
