On October 6 2010, an awareness campaign was organized at Government Higher Secondary School, Khanspur to kick start the promotion of Rainwater Harvesting in Union Council Palak Abbottabad. The main objective of the programme was to educate the local community about ERRA’s Rainwater Harvesting Project.

The programme started with the recitation of holy Quran by Qari Sagheer Abbasi. Engineer Sardar Zahid Iqbal (Project Implementation Unit - PRWH) shared project details including the salient features of the Rainwater Harvesting Project.

Ex Nazim, Raja Mumtaz ur Rehman and the Imam of the local Jamia Mosque, Maulana Fazal Hussain ensured their cooperation and thanked ERRA for launching PRWH-Project in the area to overcome water scarcity.
